Between 20 and 50% of industrial waste heat is vented to the atmosphere, losing a huge amount of energy that could potentially be reused to provide heat for process or space heating applications. Re-use of this energy will provide significant economic and environmental benefits to the manufacturing facilities.
This project aims to investigate and optimise the capture of heat from industrial waste streams using thermochemical storage (TCS) materials and work collaboratively with local teams to scope out the delivery of hear back into the site.
